About Me.

My name is Arkadiy, and I am your local go-to public adjuster for the Philadelphia area. I also work with other adjusters and experts in the insurance field, leveraging their expertise as needed. My background is in Construction Management and Engineering. In fact, I've worked on the construction of university buildings, hospitals, and residential apartment complexes around the Philly area, which is something most Public Adjusters can't say. 
I have extensive experience estimating construction projects and I can get the most complete highest-value estimate for your claim.
My knowledge of insurance, coupled with my knowledge of construction makes me a very effective public adjuster.
I like to work in a transparent fashion, sharing my knowledge with you every step of the way.
In all my experience in business, the best practice that I follow is to be upfront and really work to help the Client. This often leads to more business through word-of-mouth!

About Public Adjusting

Why does it exist?

As insurance policies became more common in the 1800s, disputes arose between insurers and policyholders regarding claim settlements. Insurance companies employed their own adjusters to assess damages, often leading to settlements that favored insurers. The concept of public adjusting emerged as a response, with independent professionals advocating for policyholders. Over the years, public adjusting became a licensed and regulated profession. 

How does it work?

When you file your claim, the insurance company will assign an adjuster to assess the damage and determine your claim amount. Of course, this adjuster works for the insurance company so there is an interest to make your claim as small as they can get away with, and they have many tricks up their sleeve to make you think they are being responsive and helpful, while paying you a fraction of what they owe under the policy. Most homeowners have no clue. A public adjuster will make his own assessment and cost estimate to present to the insurance adjuster and negotiate on behalf of the homeowner. This typically results in much higher claim amounts.

How much does it cost?

Public adjusting in highly regulated by the state. The fees are a percentage of the claim amount, usually 10%-20%, depending on the claim. The public adjuster does not charge any other fees - they get paid only when you get paid. The contract with the public adjuster is done in writing and follows standard language and rules set by the state.
